Thermoforming

We process thermoplastics by thermoforming (also called vacuum “thermoforming” or “deep drawing”).

In this process, the semi-finished product, usually a plastic sheet, is first clamped in a machine and heated from both sides before being drawn over a mold made of aluminum. Compressed air and vacuum are used to adapt the sheet to the mold, giving it its contour. Trapped air escapes through openings in the mold. After cooling, the formed plastic sheet can be removed and the component trimmed using a CNC router.

In this process, an almost endless selection of sheet materials, materials, colors and shapes is available. Among others, common plastics such as ABS, ASA, PMMA, PE, PP, PS, PC, PETG and PVC are processed. We will be happy to advise you on the selection of the most suitable material for your requirements.

We manufacture individual components as well as systems. These are often produced in combination with Polyurethane.
